The German company Voelkner Electronic sold a plotter MZ-1P16 ( MZ-1P01
also useable ) with an adapter, and software which enabled the user
to connect and to use the plotter by a PC. The set was made by Auerswald
/ Germany. Additional a power supply 12V / 1A, and a 5V regulator was
necessary. The connector of the plotter was removed and a special connector
was soldered. I do not have the original set with this plotter. Take
a look now on the adapter.

The adapter is to connect with the plotter connector and on the other
end with a normal printer cable connected to the PC printer port. The
Operation Instructions informs that the power connector of the plotter
must be cut and then to be connected to the 5V regulator. It is easily
possible to make an own adapter like this ( a printer cable with a male
connector that fits into the original plotter female connector ).
The software collection contains 9 GW-Basic programs:
MZ-DEMO1.BAS
MZ-DEMO2.BAS
MZ-BLOCK.BAS
RUN11.BAS
RUN12.BAS
RUN13.BAS
RUN21.BAS
RUN22.BAS
RUN23.BAS
Start the two demo programs from GW-BASIC by RUN"A:MZ-DEMO1"
and RUN"A:MZ-DEMO2". MZ-BLOCK.BAS was written for own programs.
RUNxx.BAS are 6 additional demo programs.
Download the software ( German
instructions included; ZIP, 21 kb ).
