The"Ever Sharp Pencil" was manufactured in 1915 by Tokuji Hayakawa - the firm founder of SHARP. It was worldwide the first mechanical pencil - ever sharp - and this is why the company was called SHARP.

The pictures show an imitation which was pesented only to selected customers of SHARP.
